BUGS AND TEENAGERS

Lots of birthdays for us this week, Joseph is 13 TODAY and Sam 21 next week. Its quite hard getting the celebratory feeling when i am quite over partying , cooking and spending for a while. On top of that too Sam went back up to glasgow just at the weekend so we had to bring it forward even sooner. We did in fact have a lovely evening at a Thai cafe where we all exchanged gifts etc. Last night joseph had a few mates over for lots of noise , eating and hilarity but sadly followed by him vomiting  and feeling generally dreadful today as well. Not much of a way to spend your birthday.......

have just finished this knitting bag for a knitter friend and i am very pleased with it, i have even lined it!!

Its got cold.... feeling very chilly and grey so have got the fires lit so we are very lucky to be so warm and cosy!

Oh, and I got another teapot, exactly the same, so i am very pleased.

  1. Having two birthdays right after Christmas must be a challenge! I'm glad to hear you got your teapot replaced. Life without one would be impossible. Especially in the dead of winter!

    1. Thanks, yes am very happy with the teapot but the lid is the wrong size and kept getting stuck so i thought i might have to break it to get it off. Luckily managed and then as the lid from the old teapot had remained intact i could use that....RESULT!!

    2. Glad to hear you solved your teapot dilemma. That's weird the lid was the wrong size.

  2. HI: I am in Canada, Northern Ontario to be exact. Loved you site and I was wondering where I could get the pattern for the knitting bag. I have a lot of stash yarn and I would really like to knit it. Thanks in advance. Joan

    1. Hi, I think I found it on Ravelry.......actually, just found the pattern and its called buttonhole bag from frankie's knitted stuff. I made it not so wide, i think i did 40 stitches and then did 15 each side of the casting off (to make the handle) and cast off 10. That will make more sense when you read the pattern. It was really nice to knit with a very easy repeat pattern but looking rather more tricky than it actually is!!

      Good luck!!
